Mission Statement

Mary Geren for Progress’s mission is simply to bring about positive, progressive change in our communities, state, and nation. By utilizing strategic political and public relations solutions, Mary Geren for Progress will partner with political candidates, non-profit organizations, and advocacy groups. Together, we will create a more perfect Union, promoting justice and equality for ALL Americans, and we will “be the change” we want to see.

Why Mary Geren for Progress

The founder and Executive Director of Mary Geren for Progress, Mary Geren, has dedicated much of her life to advocating for society’s most vulnerable citizens and has gotten into quite a bit of “good trouble.” She has, indeed, sought to be the change she hopes to see in this world. Mary’s professional background in education, politics, community organizing, and communications uniquely positions her to serve her clients with excellence. Not only has Mary run for higher office herself, but she has also worked on many high profile campaigns, including those of Senator Cory Booker (presidential), Jaime Harrison, and most recently, the Georgia runoff elections for Senators Rafael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. As a result, Mary has broadened her extensive network across South Carolina, particularly in the Upstate, and has developed strong partnerships with national stakeholders as well.
